Not really. True democracy is like what the Athenians had. everyone met in a forum and discussed (argued) issues to their resolution. It amazes me that they got anything accomplished at all. Just look at all the differing viewpoints you see on this site. Sites like this won't enact legislation or anything like that, but they are useful for gauging how the general public feels about certain issues. Once you eliminate the bluster, you can get to the real meat of how the public feels. You better believe that politicians on both sides of the aisle have their staffers monitoring these sites.

I hope not! As some of the more..."interesting" personalities here came to us courtesy of the shutting down of the news discussion boards, the level 60 Trolls had nothing to do and now do it here. If this is representative of Democracy, I'll have pie thanks..

True Democracy is unworkable anyway. Utter chaos would be the result leading to anarchy. I think where we are is pretty much the most workable system although it needs some polish.

I got another violation notice this morning for pursuing somebodies argument to its illogical end. They accused me of 'point scoring', when I was merely trying to demonstrate that the argument wasn't logical. I bet that it is mainly females that report, and also, dish out the violation notices.
