You have every right to be concerned. Miscarriage is most common in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, and is common with first pregnancies. If you experience any bleeding, cramping, fever, etc, the first thing to do is call your OB. If they are closed, go to the ER. If caught in time, there are steps that can be taken to save a pregnancy (at times). And you don't want to miss that window of opportunity. Please, be checked ASAP and don't let anyone make you feel like you are overreacting. This is a life and death situation. Good Luck!! God bless.

It could be old blood if it's brownish/red. Sometiems when you're first pregnant you still have some minor symptoms around the time when your period would have been due. Have you had sex recently? This could be a cause as well. I had some bleeding early in my first pregnancy after sex. Basically the blood vessels were probably broken. But everything was fine.
Some women spot the entire way through a pregnancy; if it increases in intensity or you start to cramp, then call your doctor's office.

When I was 5-6 weeks pregnant I had very heavy bleeding but it turned out to be nothing. Now i'm in week7 and yesterday I noticed very light bleeding. It only lasted for like an hr or less. I don't think it's serious since my dr doesn't think so. By the way intercourse can cause some light bleeding too. (I think that's why I was bleeding) Good luck

Sounds like implatation bleeding like they said and it can happen up to 10 weeks... Its just the fetus actally attaching to the UT wall after dropping from the fallopean tube.
If you have ANY more bleeding I would go see a Dr. and get a Hormones level blood test... prolly shoulda done it already.(just to make sure)
You shoud Try not to worry and relax for a couple weeks!

I had that at about 7 weeks as well. Sometimes this happens and no one really knows why. I went for an exam and all was fine. The child is now 12!

it sounds normal to me esp if it turned to brown and went away. I experienced this 3 times early in my pregnancy and i am now 32 weeks. You did the right thing by calling your dr make sure you keep him/her informed. Spotting can be normal for women. If it comes back just be sure to call your dr. Besf luck.

my opinion is that you take another pregnancy test, and go to the doctors. It might just be a cut or something!
