I have owned this Gore-tex weather-proof jacket for 4 years now. I took it out of storage today and noticed that the inner layer has turned yellow from white. Is there anything I can do to clean out the yellow parts? I can't scrub it off since it is covered by mesh.

Is there anything I can do to clean out the yellow parts? I can't scrub it off since it is covered by mesh. I am also afraid that bleaching may harm the rest of the material.

You can buy some Oxy-Clean for laundry and soak it for a little while then wash as usual.

After four years your Gore-tex layer has probably worn down so it isn't very effective in water proof/wicking abilities.

Your color change may have began prior to storage. Try contating a Quixtar distributor (formerly Amway). They have a great family of laundry care products called SA-8. Ask about the Trizyme product. It is superb in dealing with stains caused by enzymes and protiens were bleach product cannot be used. jr
