No friend of mine would ever tell me something like that. I'd find a new g/f to hang out with if I was you. I was married to a man who cheated on me all the time. I then got pregnant by a man who wasn't married. I divorced my husband and now I have been married to my sons father for 7 and a half years. We were married by our pastor and as I see it, my marriage is valid. We are Christians and I have asked for forgiveness. That is all you have to do too. Just ask the lord for forgiveness of your past sins and all will be forgiven. Your friend is WRONG! God Bless you and your family.

It's sounds like you might be feeling a tinge of guilt-and no, God is not a big fan of adultry. However, if you didn't know that at the time-God is pretty forgiving and loves you (I'm sure your girlfriend has fell short of the glory in God's eyes a time er 50-we're all huge sinners,us humans-Christian or not) AND Of course your marriage is valid- since your husband commited adultry, that's the one okay reason for people to divorce in the bible. I would say if what others are telling you about God is making you feel bad, read it for yourself and learn more about God for yourself-that way you can teach your children not to fall into those same "traps" that ANYONE can fall into when they don't know any better. Our God is a God of love and of peace- he doesn't want you to feel like crap for every move you made in the past.

if you both are divorced and legally married...your married..In the prospective of God I was brought up to believe that God hates divorce however God is a very forgiving man and understands the needs of sinners and forgivness. You must make it right with God and keep your marriage strong.Morally I think what you did was wrong but that was years ago and the past is gone and the present is here.Your friend is partially right in the eyes of God but he has already forgiven you and loves you the same..God bless your life now.

Well being a Christian woman, I am glad to answer this question...I am confused why you care what God thinks when you committed adultery so obviously you don't care much about God's law in the first place. Unfortunately, when the husband committed adultery the wife could have ended it, if she didn't and he did...in God's eyes the marriage isn't valid. Why do care when you're going to Hell anyway? Repent. God Bless babe!

a lot of people like to judge everybody and pretend like they are perfect and have never done anything wrong. as long as you have sincerely asked for forgiveness for your sins, then god has forgiven you.
maybe your girlfriend is jealous of the relationship that you have with your husband and the only thing she can do is trash it in order to make herself feel better. don't worry about what she says. continue to live your life as best as you can. none of us are perfect.

that's up to God, if you believe him, and nobody else. Your marriage is valid, you're just a s|ut, and your husband is a loser. It may be rude what I'm saying but think about what you're going to tell your kids when they ask "mommy, how did you and daddy meet?"
By the way don't listen to any of these churchy fools. The worst crime in my belief is tell someone what God is going to do with them, that's up to God, not Jesus, or anyone else for that matter.

No that's false.
There's a lot in yours and his past that's not legitmate, but the final determination that THIS marriage remains valid is correct.
