What amount of weight should you have already lost? What was the amount that you lost with your pregnancy about a week and a half later? Is there anything I can be doing now to lose the remainder of the stomach as far as any exercise. What else can I do to lose the extra pounds. Thanks!

Well it depends. If you breast feed then you can lose a lot of weight like that. By the time I left the hospital I lost about 17 lbs. But if you could imagine my baby was 10 lbs 5.5 oz. Also I was breastfeeding. Breastfeeding causes your uterus to contract which in turn makes it return to its normal size. Don't worry if you work at it then you will lose the weight. Just exercise normally and make sure you eat healthy. if you are breast feeding make sure you are still taking your prenatal vitamins.

Lost 9kg (don't know how many pounds that is!) within 3 days, but I should mention that a lot of that weight was water. Are you breastfeeding? It really helps to 'lose' your tummy. I think it would be good if you just waited until after your 6 week check-up when the Doctor gives you the go-ahead. It's just safer this way. Enjoy your precious little bundle!

I'm not sure how much weight I had lost. You have to remember to take it slow though. Thinking about starting to lose weight this soon is unrealistic.

The weight you would have already lost would be equal to the baby, amniotic fluid, placenta, and other normal things that occur during and after delivery. It can also be affected by how much water weight you gained.

Don't try to start losing weight just yet. It takes upwards of a year in most cases to get back down to your normal size. Talk to your doctor at your 6 week appointment about how he/she suggests you lose the weight.

Why are you worrying about that right now anyway? This is the time to worry about your baby, and bonding as a family. You are probably sleep deprived, feeling tired and nervous. All this is normal. And no one should expect you to look like a supermodel right away. Exercise is off limits until you are cleared to do so by your OB. Don't forget to keep that 6 week checkup. And follow all your doctor's orders, no sex or anything inserted vaginally until you are cleared. Keep taking your vitamins, and eat healthy. health is the goal, not beauty. And anyway, beauty is a side effect of good health. So, relax, enjoy your little one, and get as much sleep as you can. You might never sleep like you used to again. Good luck.

RELAX honey! It's 9 months on and 9 months off for many women. You should be worrying about taking care of yourself and baby right now, not weight loss.

My weight gain during pregnancy was always very reasonable, around 27 pounds each time. By my 6 weeks postpartum checkup I was always within 5 lbs of my pre-pregnancy weight.

I had only lost about 3-4 pounds.Don't try to exercise until after your six week check up and you are given permission to do so. For now, breast feeding burns up calories and try eating healthy!

ot can take up to a year to lose all the weight, if you even lose it all, some dont, some lose more than the baby weight, it depends or body, but chances of fitting into the same size even if you do lose it all can be slim, your hips expand so dont be surprised if you are a size bigger

a week and a half later is way to soon about worrying about your weight. wait until your six weeks is up.
