Cash. they have the money, population and interest to support two teams. The clippers were originally from Buffalo and then San Diego. the lakers were from Minnesota (land of 10,000 lakes) both moved to get the dough.

Donald Sterling, who owns the Clippers, lives in the Los Angeles area. That's why he moved the team from San Diego.

Because there is enough people here to support two teams, Why do New York have 2 Football teams, Chicago 2 Baseball teams...its not uncommon.

Well, the Clippers used to be in San Diego..but they moved 20 years ago for more money.
