Valentines day, even though I love it. People get all built up for something they should be celebrating the whole year. Then for the people without someone they're made to feel bad because love hasn't wandered their way. If people said how they felt everyday we wouldn't need a special day to build up.

Valentines day. Why do we just take one day out of the year to really go out of our way to show the people we love, how much we love them? I have learned very recently that everyday, could be the last. I am not letting myself learn that lesson the hard way again. I show my husband, and son, how much I love them everyday. I lost my father very quickly quite recently. He was the only one in my family who had never treated me badly in any way at all. I hadn't seen him 2 years, and now he is gone. So really Valentines day is WAY over rated. Just a way for stores to get more money out of people for useless items that are just going to get thrown away within a month or so.

I would never consider New Years eve as overrated. It is my parents wedding anniversary, and after this past new years eve, and having to help my mother with the grief over the death of my father that happened on DEC. 20Th, has really changed that holiday for me too.

in Denmark their new years is like America's 4th of July. I'd say the most overrated holiday would have to be Valentines.

I think Valentines Day! It is out of control. I think you should bring roses, candy, stuffed animals etc. to your loved one all year long.
