What will happen to the earth billion years from now when the Sun stop given out heat?
Will it get to the state that the earth can get colder just like the movie "Day after tomorrow" and freeze out anything even atom?

Well... the coldest temperature at Vostok station in Antarctica is CONFIRMED to be -89.4 c... it was unconfirmed at -91c... but anyway.

Without the sun, we have no light or heat energy. Therefore, yes, everything will freeze. Eventually the weather will get so cold that everything will freeze and die, yes... although I think Winnipeggers will last longer.... lol.

But yes. Without the sun, everything will eventually reach absolute zero temperature-wise. So even atoms will stop their motion.

Fun.

The record as the coldest place, however, goes to Vostok Station, Antarctica, where the temperature reached -129°F (-89.4°C) on 21 July 1983.

Eventually, the Sun will turn into a red giant. At this point, it is not believed that it will engulf Earth's orbit. Nonetheless, the Earth will become a cinder.

Billions of years after that, the Sun will extinguish, as will all other stars, and the Universe will progress to heat death. Everything in the Universe will approach absolute zero.

It will be very cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The coldest temperature ever recorded is -91c. Yes that's true. The oceans would freeze. The polar icecaps would grow. And with no heat, everything would die, and people would get sick and die. Then the entire population of people will be wiped out. I haven't seen the movie, "Day After Tomorrow", but my grandma said that the world will look like it did in the movie.

No No No About 7 billion years from now. The sun will expand to about the orbit of the Earth. So the Earth will be a charred, cinder, if it's not just sucked in to the dying sun.

The human race either found a way to do away with sun or entirely wipe out when they dried up all the resource in earth.

Hopefully they invent something to replace Sun and resource that never exhaust.
God bless the human race.

I read the report by MIT.
Atom can be frozen and they did it to slow down the atom.
The temperature recorded is -276 C.

Freeze out even the atom.
Have not thought about that.
