He's my husband and he snores, should I stick tissues up his nose or boot him out of bed in the middle of the night?

Thankyou Janet, I have tried sleeping up the other end but he has such pungent feet I risk my own life. He is very active. With a strong heart. But I will force him to go to the doctor and if he doesn't i will deny him food.

Dear Mrs Badgrumbles
If it is snoring that comes from a medical problem, you may be saving his life to have a sleep study done. His sleep quality may be affected and it can actually shorten his life. Go to the family doctor together and review the situation.
If there is not a medical condition that can be fixed, you can get a bigger bed (king sized) that will allow you to sleep farther apart, you can get a "White Noise" machine (a household fan makes them) that neutralizes some of the affect for you.

Send him to a doctor and have him tested for sleep disorders, specifically sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is believed to be a major contributor to high blood pressure, heart disease, stress related illnesses, and a host of other issues...and snoring. A simple little machine (CPAP) worn at night will keep him from snoring, and give both of you a better night's sleep.

While I like the idea of the tissues.....LOL. You can kick him and tell him to roll over on his side, it helps. You can sleep in a different room ( I do). He should probably see a dr. to make sure that he doesn't have sleep apnea. My husband has it and refuses to go to the dr. One day I will wake up and he will have had a heart attack!! Sleep apnea is when they stop breathing for a few seconds in their sleep. Then suddenly they snort really loud and take a breath. It is horrible to listen to. I used to kick my husband every time he stopped breathing.Good Luck!!! It gets worse as they get older!!!

No, a visit to your Doctor is the answer. Snoring can be cured. My son-in-law was at last prevailed upon to have a minor operation to fix a problem that had persisted for years. It was selfish of him to wait so long.

Try earplugs. They work for me, have used them for 15 years.

Try sleeping with ear plugs in. That is what my girlfriend does and it works great for her.
