I thought about laci peterson too and if that is what people would think...
I love Lacey Nicole
I like classic names I think sometimes people try to make names a little too out there :)

I agree that sometimes people make up names a little too often. Some are pretty cool, but not often enough. I like classic names.
I like Lacey Evelyn as a name. Pretty yet classic.
Or Lacey Joelle.
I think you should not worry about the Laci Peterson "stigma". What happened to her is very unfortunate and horrible. But, you shouldn't change your life because of it.
If it really bothers you maybe spell it Lacey instead of Laci.

Just like another person replied, I immediately think of Lacey Peterson. I also love the name Lacey BUT am hesistant to use it because of that...

I really like the name Lacey. But my last name is Peterson so I could never use that name. For you though I don't think people will make the connection. Maybe at first, but she's going to have her own identity. Also as the years go by no one will think of that when they hear her name.

I like classics too. And I think of Lacey Chabert, from Mean Girls and Party of Five.
Lacey Nicole is not my particular favorite.

Lacey is a beautiful name. And since people are always trying to make names stranger and more unusual, the simple names are becoming unusual.

Lacey is totally underused, and completely elegant and beautiful. Personally, it does remind of Lacy Peterson, but that doesn't mean you can't use it. If you have a little girl named Lacey she will have her own identity. I seriously LOVE Lacy, and I'm a very harsh critic when it comes to baby names.

I like it except that, for a while, every time people hear this name, they will think of the Scott Peterson Case. I think Lacey Elizabeth is a good name.
