just because u put a big shiny muffler on it and shiny rims does that make u a damn criminal..........a car is a car why would u buy some expensive lotus, lamborgini, porsche etc. and u cant even drive it down the street with going over the speed limit it makes no sense.....I'm really really really really really really really confused

Dude, it's because people are stupid. They don't understand that the Civic can be both an economy car AND a sporty car when you hook it up with stylish wheels and a muffler to bring out more of the horsepower. They're jealous.

Now all you have to do is drive like you have some sense and they won't hate you so bad. It's when you drive like an idiot that people get crazy.

Good Grief. Nobody in the history of intelligent people has EVER been jealous of a CIvic. Civic blows nothing out of the water. Civics are cheap, and are all over the place, the problems are usually with the driver who thinks a few stickers and a huge fart pipe turned his commuter into a rally car. So far, there's no law against being stupid, so folks will just do whatever they like, but there aren't a lot of real race cars with shiny wheels and "bling" all over them. Yes, it's really obvious you're confused. First you think people hate Honda Civics, which is really strange, considering the sales numbers which indicate just the opposite.

Next you seem to think muffler and rim choice makes you a criminal, or perhaps you are saying it makes people think you are a criminal, neither of which is accurate.

Then you apparently thing people buy luxury cars just to speed, which is also not the least bit true.

I think their hatred stems from the popularity of the vehicle coupled with its versatility and lack of maintenance problems. Some people may be jealous because it blows American cars, like the Ford Focus and the Chevy Cavalier, out of the water.

These people with their intense disdain for the practical yet stylish Honda Civics must be stopped...at any cost.

I hate civics because there ugly and car magazines think they're a gift from God and always give them awards.
