Considering Global Warming doesnt exist, and even if it may, a total of 10% of it may be caused by greenhouse gasses, thus uncontrollable by humans, no.
Global Warming is another thing the government is trying to push to scare people. They overlook the fact that the earth goes through heating and cooling trends NATURALLY, and for the past 150 years we've been in a large cooling trend, so naturally it's going to get warmer. Also, Radiation from the sun is rising that is causing 90% of the "warming" So the global warming theory (the one that states greenhouse gasses from humans are destroying the earth) is a lie.
Reminds me how in the 1970's everyone thought the Ice Age was coming back...

NO NO Tax . CO2 is not a green house gas . it is the first in the earth's air recycle process. It is plants and a process called photosynthesis . The plants take the CO2 in and keep the C and give us back the O2,isn't that good. That is why u can not even measure it unless it is very accurate. There is just a minute amount of CO2 that u can find because the plants have done such a great job.

No because the biggest pollution comes from countries that really don't care about the environment. The only real sollution is to have less people on the earth. But then again the only people that would go along with a plan like that would be the civalized people and not the ones having 10 kids.

No. No amount of taxing will stop the human population from increasing which is the real problem. Humans equal pollution. Global warming will eventually lead to catastrophic events which will eleminate 99.99% of the human population. Once the polluters are removed from the picture, the earth will return to equilibrium in a few thousand years.

For us to hide our head and believe there is no global warming will guarantee that nothing will ever be done. We have always been a nation that had to have our face slapped in order to recognize a problem. example. World War II.
To add another tax with the idea it would be used to fight global warming is not the answer. Until we change our habits no amount of money will do any good. And even if we could change and become a nation that does not pollute there are countless other nations now that have caught up with our extravagance that we have little control over.
So what is the answer? We each must begin to conserve and do our part to make things better. We must contact our congressmen and insist they begin changing laws that make sense for our environment and not for big oil. That in itself would be a huge undertaking.
While there are a few that are trying to get the word out it is far to few. With no visible proof to show what we are doing to our world most will not change. More tax will just go to other things and not solve our basic problem, US. Until we each and everyone recognize we are the problem no amount of money will make a differance.
If your reading this and have a big car or SUV sitting in your drive consider what YOU can do. How does my 35 MPG compare to yours?

No. We Americans wish we only needed to fork out a check to solve the problem. Unfortunately, it will take much more than money. It will take a change in habits and a change in direction.
The American lifestyle of waste and neglect must change. The United States contributes an unproportionate amount of CO2 emissions (roughly 25 percent of the world's total). Only by a reduction of CO2 emissions can global warming be minimized. Encouraging other developing nations such as China to adapt more environmental friendly energy options would also help.
Also, a full 30% of CO2 emissions on this planet comes from the burning of forests--not just in South America by the way. The U.S. Forest Service plans to control burn more than 120,000 acres every year for the next ten years JUST HERE IN ARKANSAS to help prevent forest fires (which have never really been a major problem here). Just another example of poor management by our government.

No, certainly not. Paying taxes and paying for CO2 credits for someone else to use them is ridiculous. We don't need to 'save' the earth. The earth has recovered from untold numbers of catastrophic disasters without any help from us, thank you.
