I'm a 911 Dispatcher. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it but it pays VERY well for someone with only a high school diploma. It's very demanding and you have to work ALL holidays AND weekends for many years before you have seniority to request them off...and in general the public doesn't really care about that when they call....LOL.
