i have a gif picture that moves around and its 111kb i need to get it down to 40kb and resizing or crop isnt an option is there any way i can compress the picture down or some tips that i can do to make the size of it smaller

i need the picture to be seen on a site and the file needs to be a certan size the picture cant be seen inside a zip

If you cannot compress (zip) it, re-size, or crop. You leave very few if any choices at all.

The only thing I can think of is change the type of image.
1) Another format like jpg might be better.
2) Change the type of gif depending on # on colors you are using. Can you change it to a 16 bit gif instead of a 256 etc...

Why can't you zip it? That would be the best course of action.

I presume you mean an animated gif. there are things you can do to cut down the size "Cutting down the pixel dimensions is probably the single best way to decrease the file size of GIF images. Cutting down the number of frames in an animated GIF is right up there with it."

If you want to shrink the file size, then here are some tips, 1 - Use WinRar (www.winrar.com) or just have less pixels on the picture. Hope I Helped
