I have very irregular periods and get alot of symptoms of PMT that have all returned since i stopped using the pill, and i get loads of spots and generally just feel rubbish not beig on it! is it really dangerous to be on it for a long time? i have bee off it now for 8 months, and was on it for 4 years, it is a bog risk to go back on it for a few years? i dont need it for contraceptive reasons

i would say you need to discuss your needs with your doctor.
i used to have horrific mood swings on the pill so much so my poor boyfriend almost left me in the first week. every ones body is different so the reaction to different drugs will vary. i hope you get it sorted.

Talk to a gynaecologist before you self-treat with a contraceptive; the spotting and down feeling may be a symptom of a deeper problem or hormonal imbalance that can and should be treated another way.
Taking BCPs unnecessarily or in the wrong dosage can cause cancer of the breast and ovaries. Get professional advice.

Yes, I would most definatly go back on the BCP as long as you are under 35 and a non smoker the risks are very very low.
