Does anyone know if John Cooper from the Christian Band Skillet has a history of cutting or suciude?

At Icthus 2006 he said that he did not have a history of cutting or suicide. He said that they wrote the song "The Last Night" because they were getting a lot of fan mail from kids that said they were cutting so John felt he need to write a song to show it is all alright and that, it is not the way out. The song is very inspirational if you listen to lyrics very carefully. Just a bit of trivia but he said that his voice is suppose to be God and Korey's is suppose to be a girl praying.
