I am feeling the regular pains that i feel whenever my period is due, specificially my breasts get very tender, but still no period...I am kinds of worried right now (everybody is sayin its jus a little bit delayed and the fact that I am feeling the regular premenstrual symptoms means that its on it way. Is this true? could it be that my tender breasts are pregancy sypmtoms and not premenstrual ones???

There are several answers to this question and several factors to consider. The most important factor is when you last had sex. If you didn't have sex since the last time you had your period I wouldn't worry too much.

If you did have sex and you're regular as clock work you might want to figure out when you had sex and when in your cycle that occurred. Did you have sex during your ovulation window?

If you're unsure, it wouldn't hurt to go to the pharmacy and purchase a pregnancy test. They are very reliable but you should read the direction carefully on the package. Pay particular attention to the recommended time frame from the day you missed your period to when they suggest you should take the test. In other words the product manufactures may recommend you wait a week or so to take the test for the best results.

Above all don't worry. Worrying (stress) affects your body including your menstrual cycle. Stressing can actually cause you to miss your period. Of course this is easier said than done.

Periods and your body aren't an exact science. They can be up to a week later than normal.
If there is a possibility that you could be pregnant than you definitely need to go take a pregnancy test so that you have enough time to think about all the decisions that come with an unplanned pregnancy.
I had the same sort of thing happen 2 years ago. I was in total denial about the possibility about being pregnant. I had all of the same symptoms of a period without the period. I also didn't have any kind of morning sickness. Everyone at my work kept telling me how huge my boobs were and that I was pregnant. I didn't take a test until I was 8 weeks along....I was freaked. I am however in a committed relationship and over the age of 25. It's still a scary thing.
Good Luck and I hope you make all of the right decisions if it happens to be more than just a late period.

A day or two, even a week late is not a big deal. At a week then you can worry.

I will usually get symptoms of my period the day prior. It is a perfectly normal symptom of an upcoming period. Try not to worry yourself silly a few days easily or late is not a big deal, your body isn't as aware of the calender as you are.

They could be pregnancy symptoms but a woman's menstral cycle can vary on the day it comes. Many things can effect your period: change in diet, exercise, stress, sickness like the flu, and many others (did I mention stress). Give it a week and then if you still have not got it take a pregnancy test. Good luck.

Could be, but they are probably your normal symptoms. Just wait a few more days! You should consider birth control pills or patch........ They will give you some piece of mind! Before I went on the pill I stressed every month! That's no way to live!

You would not be having pregnancy symptoms right when you're due for your period hun, so calm down/stop worrying.

Give it a couple more days, and if you've had sex without protection and that would cause you to believe you're pregnant, then purchase an at-home pregnancy test and best of luck!

IT"S JUST ONE DAY LATE!!! I promise you it is NOT a big deal! Don't freak out yet, seriously don't. I don't really know anyone who gets their period on the exact date every single time. Sometimes in can be a few days early, and sometimes a few days late! You shouldn't start sweating it until you are like a week late. Then I would maybe get worried! It's all good!

Well have you had unprotected sex latley? We all need to know that.

If not, you are just a little irregular this month, and it's normal. Sometimes if you exercise more than normal, or you eat differently, you period comes late or not at all. Don't worry, I am completley sexually inactive, and I have not had my period sometimes.

If you have done it lately i suggest you get a pregnancy test but otherwise just chilax. It will come, it usually isnt supposed to come the specific day you expect it anyways. Dont worry, enjoy it while you dont have it.

It could be (if you've had sex, that is!). However, I wouldn't worry yet. It's not at all uncommon for women to be several days - even a week - late. After that, starting worrying.
