1.) I hope you both speak the same language in this dialogue.

2.) This is a classic conflict.
(a.) You are the aggrieved party. The situation is totally unacceptable and you demand satisfaction.
(b.) As the owner of the cottage, I made no representation that the cottage was a castle. It is a back to nature set up and it is up to you to make the best of the situation. Once you have settled in, you will find it quite comfortable and you will have a great stay.

3.) All conflicts have a resolution. So once you have both stated your cases, you will have to come to a satisfactory compromise for both parties. The owner could come out and clean the area up, you could accept a discount and deal with the partially cleaned up dump, or you could get your money back completely.

Things to consider:

A.) Are you committed to the cottage due to a lack of other cootages for rent in the area. Leaving would leave you without and ruin your holiday totally.

B.) Is the owner a reasonable man or is he going to be evasive and unhelpful. He knows there are no other cottages for rent and in all likelihood, you are stuck.

C.) As word of mouth is the best advertising, the owner might be worried about losing business if he doesnt meet your demands or find a compromise.

Its a dialogue so it should be written like this

Them : Hello?
You: Hello, my name is .... and I'm calling to complain about...

I'm guessing you are being tested on your ability to argue effectively. Remember to outline your argument carefully, using some emotive language to convey your dismay but not losing your temper. State your point and them try to show you understand the other party's point of view - was the holiday deal very cheap etc.? Finally, come up with a compromise that suits both parties, e.g. a refund, directions to alternative accommodation etc.

Good luck.

Ask him if the address is right. If so explain to them that what you See is not what the brochure explained or what u thought it was. and you will not bee paying the rest of the bill. if you have payed then demand a refund with interest take some pics of the state of the place. and go find some where else.
