As most of the people fighting were peasents they wore the same clothes but the Parliamentarian leaders wore Round Helmets and drab clothing and kept their hair short, whereas the leaders on the Royalist side wore rich clothing and had long hair which was the fashion of the Aristocracy. I'm sure if you type in English Civil War you will find all the information you need. Good Luck!

The Parliamentarian Cavalry were known as the Iron sides due to the armour they wore on their chests, sides and back. this was usually worn over a red tunic, they wore dark breaches (trousers) and long black leather boots, a helmet with a piece of metal coming down from the front to protect the nose and something I am not sure if it was leather or metal to protect the back of the neck. As the war went on this uniform (apart from the boots not really practical for marching in) was adopted by nearly all of the Parliamentarian Army

Both sides wore pretty much the same clothes. The generals of the different armies dressed in different fashoins (the Royalists wore fancy clothes and the Parliamentarians dour plain outfits) but the actual soldiers dressed in very similar ways.
