to I like cats, my husband liked dogs. so we had both. To add to the mix we had a blue jay outside that played with the dog and cat. I am very serious. Te dog chased cat in circles, cat would stop and chase dog. The Blue Jay would flay at them swaking or what ever you call their noise, Then the dog and cat would lunge at the bird which flew up on the branch and swaked at them some more. True story on my honor.

I'm a forever dog lover! Have had dogs as long as I can remember! I have 3 now, a chocolate lab, he thinks he is the center of all attention, a gold lab, she's part human I think! A rescued dog, not sure what she is?! :) She is my clown!
They are loyal and will bring you joy every day, no matter how down you may be about something!
Thanks for asking! Great question!! :)

I think that is so normal for you or anyone else. My cat will bite me for no reason. She came to me to get a pat sometime, but when I was patted her, out of no reason she bid me and ran. She never come when I called her. She ran when I called her to come. I have to take her to the vet sometime to get her shots and medical check up. She maws when she hungry. She loves fresh water. Sometime when I was sleeping she jumped on my bed and maws right at my face, if she wanted to a get pat, or something. Then she turned around and wiped her tail at my face. I have a doggy door, so she stays outside most of the times. I don't think you frightened of cats because you knows that you are bigger than any of those house cats, to scare from them. I think you just don't trust the cats of what they will do.

I love all animals but favor dogs. I think it is the whole loving thing. Cats tend to be unaffected by love, they let you pet them and then seem to walk away thinking "man, that was annoying".
I have no idea why cats scare you other than the fact that they are a bit sneaky.

Have you been around declawed cats? They do have them for adoption that have already been altered if you feel it is not something you are willing to have done. Those kitties need homes too. Anyhow, go to a local place where they have adoptions and seek one out just to see if that one scares you just as much. I'm not suggestion that you go get one, just another way for you to see why you feel the way you do. No all people like all animals and there's nothing wrong with that.

Dogs, cat's scare me too, it's the way they have those claws and hiss! Maybe a cat came up to you when you were too young to remember or something like that. Dogs are great thou, they're friendly and protective, whereas cats have their own agenda!

I adore cats. Don't get me wrong, I like dogs, but cats are the pet for me.
People may think them arrogant and aloof... but they're independent, can be left alone, whereas a dog can't really be left for long periods... and they aren't anyone's b*tch like dogs are! LOL So cute, fluffy, those whiskers... and the purr like an engine!
