I also believe that air drying flat on a towel or other absorbent surface will allow you to change the shape more than any other way. It will also give the shirt more body, where ironing will make it seem thinner fabric.

Wash the shirt. Take it out of the washer, lay flat on a towel and stretch the material to the length you desire. As the shirt dries, it will shrink up a little but will be significantly longer than it is now. Remember the shirt must be wet. Keep doing this until the shirt is the length you desire.

Sometimes stretching out the t-shirt while ironing it will expand the size of it. Good luck!

Wash and hang it wet then pull it down, front and back held together. Let it air dry..that's the best you're gonna do!

If you need more than an extra quarter of an inch, forget it. Stretching while ironing will give you that much ..... but no more than that.

Wet it, fold it in half long ways,stand on the bottom,pull the shoulders with all ya got, or till it's long enough! let it air dry.
