The earth has 4 substantial layers the interior midsection, outer midsection, mantle and crust. The crust and the properly of the mantle make up a skinny dermis on the floor of our planet. yet this dermis isn't all in a unmarried piece. that's made from many products like a puzzle protecting the floor of the earth. no longer in trouble-free words that, yet those puzzle products keep slowly transferring round, sliding previous one yet another and bumping into one yet another. We call those puzzle products tectonic plates, and the facets of the plates are referred to as the plate barriers. The plate barriers are made from many faults, and numerous the earthquakes around the international take position on those faults. because the facets of the plates are not difficulty-free, they get stuck even as some thing else of the plate keeps transferring. ultimately, even as the plate has moved a ways sufficient, the facets unstuck on between the faults and there is an earthquake.
