Yes. Make a fun trip out of it, take friends along, and plan some other activities. It will be great. I'm from Cincinnati, and I live 7 hours from there, but I am going back to get Skyline Chili (which is not available in too many places outside Cincinnati) for sure, so I can relate.

Maybe once a year on a special occasion.
But for a craving? Heck no.

No. That's a pretty irresponsible use of resources, just to fulfill a craving. It's this sort of lifestyle that keeps too much of western civilisation a slave to petroleum,

I drove 500 miles to go somewhere, and ready to pass one of my favorite restaurants before. I stopped and ate my dinner there.

Sure, it's only a drive though here's the hint.
Book a hotel before you go and enjoy the trip even more with someone special.

What I might do is scope out the area, and plan a couple of night stay if there was more to do in the area than just eat at one restaurant.
But for the food at one joint alone, no way.
