Hi. I am a freshman and i got a problem with my friends.
Well, i've been to the U.S. fot about 2 years now.
Since i've been here fore 2 years, my English skills are good, but i still have a problem with a pronounciation.
So when i talk with my friends, i do stupid things rather than talking about funny things.
It worked well, but now, my friends underestimate me and i m very angry about that.
How can i earn a fame among my friends and how can i be funny?
I dont watch TV so please tell me some ways to be funny and be popular among my friends.

Stop trying so hard. Be yourself. you've got your language working against you as your not yet fully confident in this language. As you become more comfortable with the language everything else will just flow. Just don't try so hard. What you may think are stupid things others might find funny. It could be that your friend's just have a different sense of humor. I always made people laugh without even trying yet the person I was in a relationship with never laughed when I said something. did it mean I wasn't funny? No. It meant we had different senses of humor.

I am not a funny person. I never liked watching comedy on tv and liked science fiction. My younger brother is so funny my mom drops dead laughing sometimes. He watches comedy central all the time. Some people will never be funny no matter how hard they try but maybe you are funny you just have a speech problem. If you have a tv try watching comedy shows and comedy central because the more exposure the more you will act and think like them. Also maybe take some english classes because it sounds like that is what is holding you back from being you. Perfect english and maybe you will not have to talk about stupid things around your friends. Plus if you live in America it would be a good idea to perfect English anyways. Good luck. I am sure there are english learning websites and comedy websites if you do not have TV.

You must seek the wise men. Watch Monty Python the entire series, and movies.
or alternatively, watch comedies with your friends, and see what makes them laugh. Reminiscing about what got a good laugh is sometimes all that's needed.

even i thought i was boring. but now i'm the coolest in my group. just be natural. keep mentally noting down funny moments and what would be a funny reaction to it! it would help if you see comedy serials. the one-liners are great. but sound intelligntly funny!!

some jokes with them.Excel in other fields.Be good in something.Be cool!Don't be too serious when you are around them!Join the fun!

i know, being a freshman is hard.
but.
just be yourself. funny isnt something u can just magially get, it has to be part of your personality,
so be yourself. Then u can see if your funny
