I just found out about the syst 2 days ago. I have to call my family doctor when they open and get more details. I was in such shock to hear that I was pregnant because I am on the pill. So I don't know if it is inside or outside my ovary. I just don't really know much about them.

depends on the size of the cyst. the pregnancy continues and you can deliver by ceasarean section at the same time, your
doctor can already remove the cyst. two birds in one shot as they call it. getting your baby out of yooooour tummy and removing your cyst at the same time

Most women will get a functioning cysts at the beginning of their pregnancy. This will support the fetus until the placenta takes over around 12 weeks. Most doctors will not do anything unless the cysts gets over 6-8 cm, causes extreme pain. A doctor may recommend removing it if it stands a chance of twisting or rupturing. Most Doctor's will just monitor it. I am pregnant now and had this same problem. My cysts reached 14 cm and at 12 weeks my doctor did surgery and removed it. (The baby is fine) The surgery was not fun and it took about 6 weeks to recover from the surgery. I do not recommend the surgery as you'll be awake for it. The recovery is a lot like a c-section recovery. With that being said, you're doctor will not do anything, if he/she does anything at all until after 12 weeks. More than likely, it is just a functioning cysts.

It depends what type of cyst.
A friend had a cyst removed with an op and was fine.
Another friend went through a whole pregnancy with a cyst and the baby was fine . After she gave birth it shrunk and she didn't have to do anything about it.
Incidentally she also read up about it on the Internet and was in a state over it for weeks afterwards. The stories are scary but you should get all the info form your OBGYN and if you feel like you don't understand just keep asking because every case is different and you have a right to know.

Unfortunately many times. The first time I was 15 and went because of pains and found a cyst on each ovary, one the size of a grapefruit and another a little smaller. I had surgery and followed up with birth control. My body however still didn't cooperate and after about 1-1/2 yrs, I would go back to the doc, have surgery and change the type of pills/shot for birth control. About a year ago I went back in and found multiple cysts, but after changing pills, they were gone in about 3 months. The pains can drive you crazy, and there is no real rhyme or reason (other than hormonal) but just try to stay on top of it. My doc says there not necessarily harmful, just painful. In the event you do need surgery, standard is for laproscopy where they go through your belly button and make 2 very small incisions also right above your pelvic bone. It's an outpatient procedure and they say you should be back to normal in a day, but I always tried to schedule mine on a Friday so I could recover over the weekend. Hopefully you can get on some pills to get your body back in a groove. Good luck!

OK, Dont worry! I am now 39 weeks preggo and when i was 7 weeks preggo i found out that i had a ovarion sist also. Mine was really really big. I got to see it in a ultrasound. Here to come find out, some women will get these when they are pregnant! This sounds a little gross but the baby actually eats on it. The sist is good nutrients for the baby. Thats what my doctors told me....So in a month or 2 it was all gone. With no problems. So If I were you i would not worry about it! Good Luck

Most women get cysts on their ovaries and they usually go away without their even knowing it. What has your OB/GYN said about your cyst? I had an ovarian cyst 20 years ago (I'm 42 now), but I have never been pregnant. My cyst was very large and had to be removed along with the ovary and fallopian tube. I still have one ovary and get my period every month like clockwork. Talk to your doctor and follow his instructions. Ask a lot of questions and take your husband/boyfriend (mom or friend) with you as a second pair of ears. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Best wishes!

a friend of mine had an ovarian cyst and it ruptured. she told me it was very painful but she asked her doctor if it would affect her ability to get pregnant and he said no because it was outside her ovary
so heres a question for you. is it inside or outside?
