1 You are asking for help in your GCSE coursework. It is wrong of you to ask in this way and wrong of people to help. Will you point out in your answer that you received help (from strangers)? I strongly urge others not to post.

2 You will have had plenty of time to do this work and, almost certainly, access to plenty of help at school. Why have you left it until now and why haven't you sought help from the people who are actually there to help?

3 You are quick to blame your teacher. OK, it's possible that (s)he may not be a good teacher. It is, however, far more likely that you were not paying attention or were not trying your hardest when the explanation was given. After all, it is a straightforward piece of maths and one which your teacher will have gone through countless times. It is almost certain that (s)he will provide a perfectly adequate explanation.

You need to take a more self-critical look at your actions.

Give the first number in your t, a letter, n, for example. Then write in algebra what the other numbers are in relation to this, (n+1), (n+2) etc. Add all 5 together, and simplify and you have proved your rule.

Could you somehow explain what you are talking about? That might help.
