everyone has their own qualities. the qualities that YOU like best in a person are the qualities YOU think are good about a good friend because he's your friend. DONT FALL FOR THAT!

well dude.. there are many qualities of a good friend..
the FIRST one that you reallyy need to be sure is.. that this person is NOT using you to get to something..I've seen that many times happening. They aint a friend.. just trying to get to you do get to a more important thing.. now that suxs dude..
Another good quality that a friend must have is.. Trust.. Friendship..Loyalty..it is said..that once you meet a person who you really care about.. it will be shown down the road in the couple years that you 2 know another, and man.. that is soo damm true! A friend must always be there to AID you.. NO MATTER what.. and if he or she can't they will say.. try this or try that .. they wont backdown on it bro..they there for yeah, for the hardtimes-goodtimes.. Now in saying that, I had some experiences.. recently i lost a good friend..he just stopped replying to me..as heck i was worried.. and you know what sucked the most.. him and i where BEST friends..so i asked these other people i knew who where also some friends.. to aid me in this.. to help me talk to him..you know what.. they didnt* -_-. To this moment, i still dont get it why... some people are different dude.. its just hard to see it in most of them..
But anyways, yeh..make sure your friend is a true friend.. and wont do harm or **** to yeh..even if its emoitionally.. they need a learn things man.. this world is coming to war.. and what we all need now, is some friendship with another, and being there.
Another quality you can look for, can be Companionship.. make sure your friend leads you to the right path.. like from experience heh 19 myself.. i had some friends who where low lifes.. they did drugs 24/7.. bar.. drinking.. they pushed me into this stuff.. i offcoarse was so drunk i didnt know what i was doing. 1 friend ended up in jaill serving 8 years for domestic assault to a person.. I was let go.. however i did know that. I could have been a better person..stoped t he fight..or w.e. it was that did the damage.. that guy still in jail.. and this was like 2-3 years ago..Im a changed man ;) heh.. proud of it.. I myself am looking for a good quaality of a friend to give..kind of hard to find.. many just let go, and dont help..

Will always tell the truth about anything you ask. Always rely on a good friend to be available for you when you need them. Honest advice comes from a good friend. and a good friend is discreet about your personal things. Your best friend will be around in 30 years time even though you do not see a lot of each other.

Always ready to share ur sorrow.
Never take advantage of you.
Respect you.
Never treat u as a substitution for other people when they cant show up.
Never pretend to admire you but having an actual thought that u r a piece of garbage.
Willing to compromise.
Feel genuinely happy for you when u have good things to share.
Date you out voluntarily.
Never ask u to juz chip in for presents for others but forgetting ur birthday.
Never gossip behind ur back.
Never desert you when having bf or gf.
Treasure the friendship with you as lifelong rather than temporary.
Try his very best to give u advice when u need help.

Someone who accepts you for exactly who you are and likes you in spite of your faults. Loyalty-will keep your secrets if it is in your best interest. Confidence builder-someone who encourages you to be the best that you can be. Good listener-someone who is willing to listen when you have a problem but can refrain from telling you what to do unless you ask for advice.

they help you, dont leave behind ,dont tell you what to do, maybe buy you gifts, invite you to there partys, let you borrow stuff, never lie, dont act fake, and make you feel good
