A business may be concerned with manufacturing and distribution of a product or organizing and marketing of a service. In plain words, it is a commercial venture and is started with a profit motive as the prime motive.
You can be a businessman but you need to do the following:
1. Think of a product or a service in which you want to do business. It would be an advantage if you have knowledge/skill in the product or service you select for your business.
2.Should you feel you need some help or special expertise, it may be advisable to look for a partner or a few co-promoters.
3. You need to mobilise funds to start your operations. This would depend uoon the activity and scale of operations you choose to have for your business.
4. There may be some legal and formation-related procedures to be followed and they have to be complied with. It may be advisable to secure expert help in this.
5.After the initial set up,you are ready to launch the business with employees needed for various aspects being in place.
6.If you propose to set up a large business, the task may require multi-levels of organization and control and several kinds of specialized services and one of the critical requirement would be adequate control of operations and effectiveness of marketing program.

Anything that involves selling is considered a business.Start by buying and selling anything that is marketable in your place.
