easy, go into custom animation for the sound object that you inserted.. right click on the object under custom animation and choose "effect options".. then under where it says "stop playing" you tell it to stop after X number of slides.. if your powerpoint is 20 slides long, tell it to stop after 20 slides.. you can also have it repeat a certain number of times under the "Timing" section in custom animation..

Select the slide where you want the song to start.

Select Slide Show, Slide Transition. A task plan will pop up on the right side of the screen.

Under Modify Transition, select the down arrow next to [No Sound] and scroll all the way to the bottom. Select Other Sound...and browse to the song you want. Then make sure the Loop until next sound box is checked. This should do it.

Should you choose to make the sound stop, all you need to do is select the slide where you want the music to stop and select [No Sound] under the Modify Transition area.

Good luck.

click on the sound then go to "slideshow" then click on "custom animation" then were it says "while playing" click on the "continue slide show" option. then the other options should be highlighted. depending on how many slides you have put in the amount of slides you have. then click "ok" check to see if it worked.

I would run media player in the background - Powerpoint's sound capabilities are terrible so I tend to ignore them entirely.

p.s. We most likely know how to search the previously asked questions too ;)

It's definitely possible because I did it once but I totally forget how. Try the powerpoint office assistant....good luck
