Filtering records Visual Basic 6 ADO?

How to get filtered records in Crystal reports or data reports on a table where I Want to filter records by name and date between two dates using dtpicker1 and dtpicker 2.
Eg : I have table Named tab1 with fields ID, Name, Date of Joining.

I have table in MS Access ACC.MDB and table name is tab1

I created a textbox1 and two dtpicker controls on a form. Suppose user wants to search for name starting with R and DOJ between 01/01/1972 and 01/01/1974. Please give me the correct coding.
