No. However, there is a big difference between having a license and having a car. As long as you are able to drive, that's all that's really important. When the time comes and the price is right, you'll have the vehicle. Until then, as long as you can get where you need to go, it's not necessary.

BTW, my Aunt & Uncle who are in their 50's do not own vehicles and haven't had one for 30 years. They spent most of their lives in cities like NY where having a vehicle was largely unnecessary and now they live on an island in the Bahamas where they can walk wherever they need to go.

Not lame at all. Many people don't own one, especially if they live in a city where they services are so close. Too many people rate their "success" by the vehicle that they own. A vehicle is the worst investment you can make. A new vehicle can drop by as much as 40 or 50% in value within a year or two of buying it. It amazes me how many people have a high-end car parked in front of a run-down house or trailer. People need to get their priorities straight! (Sorry for my rambling!)

If you want to get one, buy an older car. Your insurance costs will be lower, too.

Not everyone can afford a car at such a young age. You arent established in the world yet. What is lame is when you are almost 40 years old and you dont own a car!!

I guess it really depends on where you live (if you really even need one at all) and the reasons you dont have one. It could be laziness or lack of ambition, in which case, yeah, that's a little lame. But in general I wouldnt think twice about it.

Not at all. Look at the money you are saving on gas, insurance and payments. Most people in the city of New York don't own a vehicle. A man once interviewed said he saves himself $5,000 a year by walking or biking. He's smart, so are you.

No it's not lame. Especially if you live in an area with public transportation. As long as you are able to get where you need to go, like work and/or school, that's all that matters.

Have no idea why you've asked this under men's health...

But it isn't lame that you don't own a vehicle. You're saving the environment!

Depends on where you live. MOST folks in New York City don't own a car and don't even have a driver's license.
