I would smile and say yes you are right of course I am in denial and you are a know it all know nothing and walk off, what else is there to say after that.

I just let them think what they want to think, it does not matter to me if someone says I am in denial, just words to me, that's all. As long as you are happy with yourself who cares what people think if they are negative.
