Well, i would say Cat, first of all, becuz they dont need as much as dogs do like chew toys or need to be walked, Cats like most people have said, are clever, cats are the animal you need if you just like enjoying a nice day reading the newspaper and drinking a cup of coffee. They are much layed back and non jumpy and rowdy. People said dogs like to play with you and cats only worry about themselves, but really, Cats are much more lovable. All they need is maybe two or three toys, a litter box, and a good pat on there head every once in a while. (then they'll start to purr) Take it from an owner who has a cat right now

I would say dog. I am personally not a cat person. Yu have to take care of them more and watch them around children. Cats have to have litter boxes and the stuff to deoderize them. A dog you can just let out the back door and they are more fun to play with. Cats scratch when they are mad. they are also lazy. You can take a dog in the park and have it on a leash without worrying but a cat won't stay still to let you put a leash on. Also cats don't take baths. This means that they start to smell and you have to pay a vet to clean them for you..a dog can just be washed with a hose and some soap.

depends on ur life style really. if u have the time for a pet a dog would be brilliant cause they give u back the love u give them . if u are a bissy person and out of the house alot then a cat is the best way to go because they are independent and really only need food and water left out they do not get bored like dogs do.if u get a male cat i recommend getting him spade it stops them rambling and fighting with other male cats
good luck with what ever choice u make
and remember a pet is for life!!!!

Cats are better pets if you don't have a lot of time to devote to a pet. Dogs are better pets because they bond with their owners in such loving, loyal ways. However, dogs require a lot of attention from their owners to be happy, healthy pets. I prefer dogs over cats. We have both - 2 cats & 1 dog. The dog has a presence which captivates my attention. He is a wonderful companion indoors & outdoors. The love given to the dog is returned so unconditionally it is priceless.

I would have to say cats.....I have two and love the fact that they are independant. Being out at work all day I don't have the time to look after a dog properly. I can leave my cats for a weekend without worrying too much about them, they come and go as they please, feed themselves (even a tasty mouse treat occasionally) and I get love from them too......what more could I ask for?

If you want a companion who will love you unconditionally have a dog. Dogs need walking, grooming, good food and a warm place to sleep. You also have to pick up their pooh!
Cats are very independent and expect you to adore them unconditionally but fit nicely on your lap until they are really happy and dig their claws in your leg to show you how happy they are.
If you have the time have a dog. If you are not sure don't have either.

Without question DOG. They love you no matter what and you matter to them. Cats could careless if you are there or not. You can interact more with a dog and they respond in a more postive way.
