Not a chance, he finally had his first healthy 16-game season of his career and things are on the upswing. A healthy every down RB will only do wonders for the passing game, especially since he's so good with the play-action pass. As long as they keep Coles and Cotchery together, they should be fine. All that being said, I'd make sure Kellen Clemens is ready to go, just in case.

Only if you think he's going to get injured again....his performance this year earned him Comeback Player of the Year, after all. Sure, the Chargers had success last year trading away the CPOY in Drew Brees, but I dont think the Jets have a QB of Rivers' caliber waiting in the wings....
Pennington is the leader of the Jets' offense this season, and seeing as they're not in a draft position to take any of the franchise QBs that are up for grabs this year, you stay with him.
Plus remember, the Jets only have one starter going into free agency this season, so they're going to have a tremendous amount of continuity going into next year, you dont want to break that up by trading away the kingpin of the whole offense...

Pennington was HURT "the past couple of years" (actually, not this year, but in years prior). If you wanna throw him out, throw him towards Detroit. Tell you what, we'll even trade teams.
The backup QB is the most popular guy in town -- everyone always believes that somehow, moving to the backup, will make up for all of the shortcomings of the team.
I think that stupid fans need to be thrown outta NYC myself.

No, Pennington is a good QB, the past few years he had gotten hurt but this year he did pretty well, I think he can make a comeback and be an awesome QB

I agree it may be effective to paintings out the Dolphins take the Jets down, even even with the certainty that it is extra advantageous a count style of practise. The Dolphins come across outstanding the spectacular thank you to win video games by potential of employing thoroughly throwing off the Defenses they play. yet mutually as shall we see Pennington out gun Favre that could desire to desire to make for an incredible afternoon!

No they should stay with him. He did pretty well this year and it was his first year he played all season. If he can stay healthy he will be a fine QB nothing great but a decent team leader none the less.

Trade him for a draft pick and take your chances with Ramsey and/or Clemens.
