Ok. Your computer is crashing each time you boot up. Have you installed any recent hardware?

You have seen the blue screen of death meaning your computer has passed all of your daughter's work will not be recoverable what you can do is the primary boot device to CD drive in the bios then reinstall the restore CD with OS .Next time is if your laptop has a CD writer backup up your files with Norton Go-Back then you can buy another hard drive install the OS and programs then backup the CD on to the hard drive then take it out and keep the original hard drive in the laptop if you can't do this take it to PCWorld and they can help you to swap the hard drive for a small fee.

You could use the windows recovery console and try chkdsk /r on the drive. The boot sector on your drive is unmountable and this fixes the problem on some computers.
You may also want to pop out the HD and re-seat it. Even if it is a laptop and you're not dealing with ribbon cables, re-seating just may help. Takes almost no time to do and it sometimes works.
You could also pop out the HD and install it in another computer to access it that way. You can buy adapters to connect a 2.5 inch laptop HD to the 80 pin ribbon cable on your desktop if need be.

That dosen't sound good at all. Thats the Blue Screen of Death. Happened to me last year when I let a friend on to it who decided to go looking up porn sites. These sites were riddled with viruses and the computer got badly infected, couldnt enter Windows at all due to the BSOF appearing every time we booted it up. We had no choice but to format the harddrive and re-install Windows, I lost everything on the computer. Get your computer to p.c world or anywhere that does repairs. And get yourself a good-anti virus too. If you have the computer for a while, it dosent sound like bad dimms, processor or harddrive. That comes up after they are built and are run on quick-test before they go out for sale. Best of luck.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

sounds to me like bad memory....try attaching the hard drive as a slave to another computer and access the file that way.

The top two lines of the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) are more important than the Stop Code. Usually something like
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL....blah blah blah
Can you post it , please? This will help identify the problem.
