That is STUPID. Not only is it against the law but you would be endangering the life of your child. I hope this was a joke, a very bad one.

I wouldn't say "make". I would go to a convenient place to stop and breastfeed the baby if the baby was hungry. For safety reasons, I would always have the baby in a car seat while driving.

No. I wouldn't "make" another adult do anything. Let her breast feed wherever she wishes. If you're an American its probably against the law. Aren't babies supposed to be in car seats? It would be pretty awkward for your wife or g/f in the back seat with the baby in the car seat, don't ya think?

And what is wrong with a mom feeding her child? Put a blanket over the boob, and feed away! That is what boobs are made for is to feed our babies, and there is nothing sexual or wrong with doing it in public. My only advice would be to pull the car over so your baby isn't out of the infant seat while the car is in motion.

Well it itn't nice to MAKE her do anything! I know I have had to jump in the backseat and do it before if we were on a long ride. I only did it a few times though I think it is best to pull over b/c if you EVER got into an accident that would be horrible! SHe needs to do what she feels comfortable with and you should pull over for them.

No, as it would subject the baby to severe damage, if you stopped suddenly, or had an accident. Better to pull over, and be a little late, then have a hurt child.

The baby should be in a carseat in the backseat. I nursed my baby in the backseat of the car while she was strapped into the carseat while we were stuck in a traffic jam.
