After I go to all the trouble to get our sofa recovered with the popular 80's A- Team member *The Face* actor Dirk Bennidict she refuses to sit on it.
How rude is that?

Ha! Ha! Ha! Well ! I must say this is quite a question..I certainly had a giggle.However I will treat your question as seriously as you mean it to be..
There really is only one main problem . Did you talk about this with her first before you changed things? Did you take her preferences in to consideration too? Did you take into account there maybe a certain time of adjustment on her part ,trying something she's not familiar with. could be a bit off putting for some girls.
Give her more time to adjust to this change and encourage her to just try it only when she feels secure and not embarrassed by it all.
If all else fails give her something she really likes to sit on ie a nice floral one on her half.
He! He! He! I think that pretty well covers both statements about sitting on your face . You are a cheeky devil but I like it.

I would move all the things to sit on out of the house while she was at work one day except the sofa !! haha she will have no choice but to sit on it.

if you have a 3 seater wet the 2 end cushions cut a hole in the middle one remove back of sofa and climb in an lay down, now be patient. enjoy.

she is very mean, you went through all the work to do that and she won't sit!!!!
I would not blame you if you let other women sit on your face, in this instance your girlfriend deserves whatever happens.
