Ask this question at TripAdvisor.com and you will get much better answers. Type in Ocho Rios in the search area and then go to the forums section. It is a great site for researching resorts and areas.
Everyone who goes to that area has to go to Dunns River Falls. Also check out Chukka Cove which has lots of action adventure kinds of activities. We did the Jungle Tour which is a zip line through the tree tops. Very cool! They also offer horse back riding, ATV riding, cycle tours as well as others.
The only place we ate in Ocho Rios was a Burger King so I cannot advise you on dining. We did do some shopping. A little of that went a LONG way. The vendors are very aggressive. I felt like a piece of bait thrown into a shark tank. It was not fun. There were also no bargains to be found.

i does no longer propose traveling Kingston. vacationers do no longer go there as a results of crime - even interior the sunlight hours. i could propose Negril and Ocho Rios. Negril has the main suitable sunsets and Ocho Rios is close to to Dunn's River Falls. Montego Bay is high-quality, yet no longer as sturdy as a results of fact the others.

Chukka Cove has some great excursions - I did the ATV adventure. The driver also took us to Dunns River Falls which is amazing. There is some great shopping right at the cruise ship port. If you decide to to M-ville, dont forget to get your lost shaker of salt coupon, found on the M-ville website, you just have to find it!

I'm not sure there is a "best restaurant" in Jamaica. Jimmy Buffets Margaritaville is outrageous on prices for a hamburger...$10 and $4 beer, how stupid is that? We sat down looked at the menu and promptly left. Royal Carrib advised us not to eat in Jamaica. There is plenty beer joints for cheap beer..just stay away from Jimmy Buffet.
Do Dunns river falls and the catamaran ride...aside from that don't really know.
