Well first of all sweety you need to learn the lingo... You 'pitch' a movie idea, it doesn't get auditioned.

Getting your pitch heard is very hard. Start by writing your script with a clear and punchy covering page as a synopsis. This front page is very important as that is what everyone will read and if they like that they will read the rest. Make it the type of thing that once read people want more. If you have ever read a book where that first paragraph just grabs you well, that is what you are going for.

The pitch is when you actually get an interview with someone to sell your idea. If you get five minutes you are lucky so this is a spoken and should be along the lines of your synopsis.

Once you have those things ready to go it is a case of leg work. Protect your work by sending it to yourself, contact agents for script writers, send your stuff off and phone people. It's hard work but if it is a good idea then someone will eventually realise that. I don't know where you live so I cant give you specific contacts. You might want to try television companies as they are slightly more accessible though I know that might feel like a bit of a sell out. They make some good television movies these days.

Good luck and let me know how you get on.

:-)
