Cana's get much larger and their shell gets more of a non pointed Cinnamon bun shape to the swirl to it. A Brigg is most likely what you have and their swirl is way more pointed and kinda stair stepish. Cana's are illegal most places because they eat plants. Briggs don't!

I know one gets much bigger then the other and that one will eat live plants and the other wont but I don't know how to tell the difference by just looking at them. Check this site out, http://applesnail.net/
I'm sure someone over there will be able to help you out.
