You have to learn to forgive yourself before you can truly forgive others. You must realize that we are all human and there is no perfect person. That means that we all make mistakes and bad decisions at some point in our lives. Learn form your mistakes and then go forward with that knowledge so you don;t repeat the same mistake again. As for forgiving others; I believe it is as much about the forgiver as it is the person being forgiven. When you forgive someone for what they have said or done to you, they no longer will have control over one thought or one minute of your life. Forgiveness doesn't mean the person didn't do wrong, it means that you won't allow that wrong doing to mess with your mind anymore. Forgiveness can be very freeing to both parties.

You have already started, "forgiveness" is not "forgetness" (how about that, I just coined a word). Forgetting is not possible and it denies you valuable experiences.

Everything that happens to you, the good, the bad and the ugly, is part of you and makes you who you are. The good things make you happy, the bad make you sad and the ugly things make you care. Realize that and you can handle anything. I didn't say it would be easy but a little time and little learning from the GB&U and you can and will move on nicely.

Have a good day, one that makes you happy...

really it depends what it is you have done, sometimes its hard to forgive others, i find i am unable to forgive someone unless they are sorry, i think at the end of the day we are all human, the saying goes, " is to forgive and to forget"

Realize what you did wrong and move on trying to do better. For others except how the person is and deal with them this way. If someone does not give you back a dollar when borrowed don't loan it to them again. Stay calm and do what you need to always.

Actually learn from your mistake.
Its one thing to do something bad and then be sorry about it. But repeating the same action just means you werent sorry to begin with.
