You have to ask a question that has meaning----a circumference is not measured in cm².
I will assume that you mean the area of the circle is 36¶ cm².
Now area = ¶r²
36¶ = ¶r²
r = 6cm
Thus radius = 6cm and diameter = 12cm

Circumference = 2 x pi x r where r = radius
36 pi = 2 x pi x r
r = 18 cm
So the diameter is 18 x 2 = 36 cm

The circumference of circle = Pi times the diameter
The AREA of circle is = Pi times radius squared.
If the area = 36 pi cm^2
r^2 = 36
r = 6
If the radius is 6cm, the diameter = 12 cm as the diameter = 2 times the radius.

If the circumference of your circle is 36cm then the diameter is 36 divided by pi so 36 x7/22 = 11.454545 your radius would be half of that, ok. The area of your circle would be pi times the radius squared - I'm not going to do it for you

C= dpi
soo...
in C=36pi
36 is the diameter
and then.. the radius is 1/2 of the diameter
so.. r=1/2(36)
r=18
* wait.. how can it be cm².. when it's only the circumference....

Circumference is the distance around the area that the circle covers 360 degrees
the diameter is the length across the circle
the radius is the center point of the circle
You are in geometry and the half of a circle is 180 degrees
I forgot about Pi

Circumference cannot be in square centimeters. Assuming it is
36pi cm, and taking the diameter as d cm. the equation would be
36pi=pi*d and so d=36 cm and radius =half of diameter at 18cm.

The formula for circmference: 2 x pi x r
Therefore,
36 x Pi^2 = 2 x pi x r
r = (36 x pi^2) / (2 x pi)
= 18 x pi cm
OR = 56.55cm
And the diameter: 2 x r
which gives: 36 x pi cm...
OR = 113.1 cm

the circumference cannot be in
cm squared
therefore,if the area =36(pi)cm^2
=(pi)r^2
this gives
r^2=36>>>>r=6cm
A=(pi)d^2/4
144(pi)=(pi)d^2
this gives
d^2=144>>>>d=12cm
