I've been using Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals for 4 years. I love it. It doesn't clog your pores, you control the coverage and it has an SPF 15.
I bought one of the starter kits over the summer so I could try another color to mix with my usual shade I wear. I wear Fair and I wanted to try Medium since I got a little color this past summer, for me the starter kit was perfect for me. I didn't use that much medium so the size of the foundation was perfect, plus a friend of mine uses the line as well so I gave her the other foundation shade from my kit.
The kit is nice you get 2 foundation shades, warmth, mineral veil, 3 brushes, bare vitamins skin rever upper, and the instructional DVD.
Once you star using it, the only 2 things you'll really run out of are the foundation and minerals veil. For me the regular size of foundation lasts about 10 months. For the size that comes in the kit, it doesn't look like I even used it.
I would suggest going to either a Bare Escentuals boutique or Sephora and checking it out. I know Sephora has a great return policy, Bare Escentuals is 30 days.
Give it a try you have nothing to lose except the time it takes you to buy it try it and return it if you don't like it.
Good luck!!

This line of makeup is AMAZING! I tried it and now my whole family and all my friends use it as well! I was nervous about the coverage since it IS a powder, but it covers just as well as any liquid, and looks MUCH more natural! It blends with all skin tones, so you don't get the lines of a liquid. I don't have bad skin, but it is combination and I would have the occassional breakout. After I started using Bare Minerals, it actually cleared my skin and my breakouts are now very few and far between!! I definately recommend using the starer kit. That way you get all the brushes and different shades with it, and it is cheaper to buy the rest as you run out, as opposed to buying it all seperately. The starter kit lasted me about 5 months, and then I had to order more foundation. Definately try it, you won't be sorry!

oh dear! i bought an entire kit from qvc, it cost a lot too, and i absolutely hated it. i am sorry, but for me it did not work out. it sat on my face, in every little line and wrinkle and looked very strange. it was as though i was wearing corn meal on my face. anyhow, i gave it to a girlfriend. she was so excited, but she felt the same as i did and SHE gave it away to someone else.
many people love it, but i could not stand it. i am talking about the foundation part and mineral veil and stuff. dont know about the eye shadow or gloss and lipstick. you have to use so many layers of stuff. i just couldnt stand all the work and junk on my face. foundation, veil, concealer. just too much. by the way, i am olive skin tone, if that helps.
if you are looking for something like that, i found philosophy supernatural air brush canvas foundation. to me, it goes on and does what bare escentuals WANTS to do. covers and is light and dont even know i am wearing it!
good luck!

I tried it; if you don't have a lot of things that you need to cover up, it's pretty good. it feels really light on your skin, which is nice. however, if you want to cover dark circles, blemishes, etc., you'll hafta get a concealer brush; the big fat one that comes in the kit just doesn't cut it for that stuff. even so, for me, the coverage wasn't really enough unless i put so much on that it didn't match my skintone anymore. (i have fair skin, though.)
hope this helps!

i tried it from qvc, a special value of the day with all the stuff and i didnt like it either. too many layers of make up. inconvenient to take with you. they tried to make it better, but you have to PURCHASE the thing to make it portable. didnt work for me, sat it my lines and made me look muddy or something strange, i sent it back. good luck to you.
