When I insert a CD or DVD into my drive, the name of the CD/DVD will not appear. When I go into the drive, the contents are there. What is causing this, and how can it be resolved?

This has been happening recently, and is also affecting autorun. I would like to get this resolved.

Running Windows XP Professional SP2, use Nero 7

Try downloading and running a program called BugDoctor.

Try download the latest version of windows media player which if you have not got it already is version 11 and see if this will help to resolve the problem. good luck

Try refreshing the view in explorer by pressing F5

if these are copied disc,s, they only have a lable if they were given one by the person making the copy!
