If so, who would replace the president if needed?

The Constitution stipulates that a candidate for Vice President must fulfil all the requirements for a candidate for President. Being foreign-born, Arnold can neither be President nor Vic-President. The fact that he's Governor is a spectacular enough occurrence, and he and his fans should be content with that.

He can't ever be president, so nobody would pick him. If the presidency fell vacant, the constitution says the job would pass to the speaker of the house (currently Nancy Pelosi). A candidate picking Arnie as running mate would be accused of poor judgement to make an error like that, and it would cost him votes.

The last sentence of The 12th amendment to the US Constitution reads "But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of vice_President of the United State." Governor Schwarzenegger is disqualified by that clause.

You mean the grandson of the man that designed concentration camps for the Nazis?

You mean, the son of a Secret Service Officer for the Nazis?

You mean, Kurt Waldheim's best friend, the guy that is banned from entering America because of his Nazai war crimes?

You men the guy who's hometown changed the name of its athletic stadium because of his affiliations with the Nazis?

You keep your vice-prezzy to yourself and I'll keep on calling a spade a spade.

No, for the same reason that he can't run for president. He wasn't born a U.S. citizen.

I am a great fan of Arnie. I think he is a good leader as far as what I have seen him as a "Governator" of California. But I don't know anything about his political views. If his political views are acceptable to most views, I think he can become president.
