i've seen from internet that only INTEL has "hyper threading support"

and AMD has "Hyper transport support"

what's their difference?

Despite their similiar names, they are very different technologies. HyperThreading is from Intel, it basically makes the computer treat your single core processor as a dual core processor. The technology only provided a small performance boost, and is no longer used on Intel's new Core 2 Duos. The only time to look for it is if you are considering buying a Pentium 4, which are becoming fairly outdated.

HyperTransport is used by AMD, it basically is AMDs alternative to Intel's Front Side Bus. It is used by the processor to communicate with the rest of the system, RAM, PCI Express, etc. It is NOT optional despite what the first guy said, it will come with any AMD processor made within the last several years.

hyper means above the normal range and hypo means below the normal range. Either can cause problems. For example, a diabetic can become hyper glaecaemic (too much sugar) or have a hypo (have too little sugar). In either case the condition will be to the detriment of their health. people sometimes believe they are hypersensitive: My skin is hypersensitive so I avoid soap. The diabetic went into a hypoglycaemic coma. are sentences using the words.

hyper transport support is a bus, a port, like your USB or PS/2.
this is an optional port. you do not have to have this.

Hyper Threading is a feature that makes your cpu process data in double rate. It makes games run faster.

Suggestion:

Based on your hobbies, you should get the hyperthreading support.
