I really like Quilter's Cache. She has over 1300 free block patterns with illustrated instructions and a full color example of the finished quilt. She also has several pages of basic instructions. From the home page, click the drop down menu that says "Where do you want to go today?" and select the lesson you are interested in. If you want to check out blocks, go to "quilt blocks galore." You have to navigate using your browser's back button - there are no links.

You should also check out Quilters News Network. It's online "TV" that has shows around the clock.

Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting is a fantastic monthly magazine, full of patterns at all levels and styles. Even if you aren't interested in subscribing, their website has a lot of extras that are very helpful. Click "Online Extras" and select "Quilters' Tips" or "Sew Easy Lessons."

Well I don't know a website but try joining the local quilt guild. The fee is normally $10-20 a year and every month the do free classes on different techniques. Plus you are opened to a world of avid quilters who will help you when you run into problems.
