How can you overtake the last person as you are the last then

2007-01-15 21:06:53 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

If there are only 2 people in the race, then the other person is the
'last' person to overtake. In that sense you could overtake the last person and become first.

Otherwise you are second to last, since you can't overtake yourself.

If you overtake the last person before you, it will be a great morale booster for you.. You would , certainly, see the new set of other persons running before you and you accelerate with renewed vigour.

But many , in the race , also see that the end point .....the finishing tape....... ahead. They know that with so many running in front, will finish the race ahead and that there is no chance of a win at all. It is at that time they give up the race altogether.

This should not be . Finish the race as if you are racing with yourself. You will still be a winner in your esteem.

You are what is called in racing terms a lapper...someone who is ahead of the trailing person by at least one lap because you overtook them. You may or may not be the leader depending how many people are lappers :) There could be many people ahead of you that have also overtaken the last person.

Not racing.

The last person is last. If you were racing, you couldn't be behind the last person, for they're last. Unless of course you're racing in a circle, which would thereby make you first.

How can you over take a last person? that means you are not at all in the race

Depends what you mean by 'last'. But if it's the last, last person then I am second-last person. If it's the last person after I've overtaken everyone else, then I am the first person.
