it is plainly and simply jealousy, you can see it written all over the faces of the other less attractive women, Jo, Jade and Danielle. And so they resort to doing what they know best, rather than trying to understand and embrace the differences between them, they go on the attack, they mock her accent, they convince themselves she's taking over, doing all the cooking etc. have any of them actually offered to cook? Have they talked with her and said they would like to do more in the kitchen? I doubt it. Jade Goody has shown her true colours once again, and Jo and Danielle look up to her as a symbol of 'celebrity' they aspire to be like her because they understand her, Shilpa is something else, something they haven't come across in their world of brand names and lager.
Shilpa has elegance and beauty, she is trying hard to cope in a idfferent country with different cultures, she tries to resolve differences by talking whereas the others only know how to scream and curse.
I think sadly she will be voted out at the first opportunity, because the UK public seem to fall at the feet of loud mouthed uncouth unintelligent brash women with little in the way of class or charisma.
I like Shilpa, and Jermaine but neither of them will win simply because the UK cannot deal with anything they don't understand

Well the women obviously are jealous of her beautiful looks especially Jade, bet Jack her so-called boyfriend thinks she knocks spots of Jade when it comes to looks, so they got to take their own insecurities out on her and they are rather gutless talking about her behind her back anyway, why can't they just sort it out with her diplomatically if they have any concerns with her, I'll tell you why cos they know they are just really being petty and bitchy! If they think she's playing up to the camera, do they really expect us to believe that THEY aren't, it is a game after all and they are only in it for the publicity and money, you are right she's got more sophistication than the other ladies in there, will probably be her down fall as most ladies within the general public may also dislike the fact she's good-looking and vote her out of there as soon as they get the chance!

this shilpa stuff makes me laugh when she first went in i wanted her to win i too think she is lovely to look at and THOUGHT she was sweet and kind but in the past 3-4 days weve seen a different side to her.she is very patronising speaking down to others if they DARE to say something she doesnt like,but she does it in a way that most people dont see and she ACTS all nice.i think she is very sly.she mentioned that where she lives people stand when she enters the room and call her maam, she was nice to begin with but then when someone dares to say bsomething she doesnt like she gets on her high horse and says no one talks to me like that who does shethink she is.i wouldnt let people speak to me like that either but not because like shilpa i think im better than every one else but because people should be nice and respectfull to others as human beings.NOT BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY ARE LITTERALY A GODDESS also all these idiots on here saying people just dont unerstand her and her culture are stupid i know next to nothing about her culture but if it means being snobby and up your own ar*e i dont want to.if the prob was cultural id be the first to say racist behaviour but its not shes not liked because the high and mighty attitude she has. she may have more class than jade but at least youd know where you would stand with jade shilpa like danielle is two faced. she pretends to be nice when she is just acting that is her job after all

I thinks it's jealousy also. Her beauty combined with her confidence and self assurance seems to make some of the others feel insecure. They could learn a lot from Shilpa if only they could see that. It's noticeable that she gets on best with the men - not because she's a flirt but because they can accept her and don't feel threatened by her.
