Hard to say. Rick had groove but Prince's music is so melodic. I mean it is almost hypnotizing. I don't know where he gets his melodies from but they are like crack! And there has been so many of them. I think Rick was the better "showman" of the two. The most annoying thing about Prince is the guitar solos (they are high, squeaky, unimaginative sometimes they kill the mood--in almost the same way it would kill the mood if your sex partner started making dolphin noises during a sex act).
